You may never enjoy some kinds of alcohol at all, so don't force yourself to drink something you don't enjoy, just stick to what you like!

Whilst at university, I studied the behaviour of monkeys on the island of St Kitts. Their tastes for alcohol and their drinking habits are surprisingly similar to those of humans (and in very similar proportions). Surely this is evidence that some creatures (and people!) are just not meant to drink certain things!

There are too many variables going into that question. Everyone is different. For me it took years before I actually didn't hate the taste of beer. Now I love the taste of some and still hate others. The hard stuff is not my thing, neither for the taste or the buzz. Wine is something I am working on, so far there are few wines I like. Best bet is stay away from alcohol if you can, and all drugs

If you know beer you also know that that mexico has very very good beer, thats where i started, by tasting different types of beers you get used to the brewers, the amount of hops used in each barrel and eventually you get a taste for what you like, thats the same with wines and liqour by tasting different things you get a "sweettooth" for all of these things

Some times when you get older you acquire a taste for different things than you did when you were younger. I used to hate beer when I was 21, now I am 30 and I love the taste of an ice cold beer!

Depends on you and what your buzz is like and the aftermath...I've grown to like the taste of the Lager beers and use to like the Cheapest around Milwaulkie's Best Light which now taste terrible...Sometimes you'll just like what you have right on the spot and other times you may have to give it some time. Also the Food you drink with it has a lot to do with it or no foods.

Take your time don't become an Over night drunk....

It varies, depending upon the individual.

Some people never do acquire the taste for liquor.

If you don't like the taste, you might try drinks in which you like the "base." For example, ifyou like orange juice, you might try a screwdriver, made from orange juice and vodka. If you like coke, try putting a little bit of rum in the coke.

In time you will probably learn to enjoy a drink made with alcohol. But limit yourself.

Alcohol can be addicting, and consuming too much alcohol can be detrimental not only to yourself, but others as well, including your family. Drunk drivers kill so many innocent people, so please make a promise to yourself to never drink while under the influence.

Good luck!

You don't really acquire a taste for alcoholic beverages its something that you try and in trying you may find that you have a favorite drink that you like; really if you're waiting to acquire a taste for liquor you may not ever drink you don't develop drinking it just kinda happens when you feel the time is right for to drink or the right social event, of course you have to be of legal age and you never know you may not choose to drink at all.
