Any religion that tells you their "organization" is the mediator between you and God. We all have the chance to have a relationship with God, and we do not need a liason to have faith in Him. Any religion that also claims you need their literature to understand the Bible is not looking out for your best interests, they are looking out for your wallets.

Right now today? Islam, no question.
No other religion has holy leaders praising suicide bombers.
No other religion has holy leaders encouraging war on non-believers.
No other religion has ordinary people going nuts and rioting in the streets, burning down buildings (churches usually, but embassies also) and killing people over things like a book, a cartoon, a movie, or a quote from the Pope.
No other religion would tolerate a leader of one its nations to advocate the destruction of another nation.
Maybe Islam will mellow with age, but right now it is like a teenager having hormone problems.

Appalling? Scientology and whatever the Moonies are called come to mind....if we're charitable enough to call them religions.
The "church" of scienology is a religion in name only. They worship L Ron Hubbard and the almighty dollar.
The Moonies are a cult which enlaves people to spend their lives earning money for Rev Moon.

I have to agree with J. P. and Shocksock. I only have a problem with religions that think that their truth is the only real truth, and that everyone who disagrees is on the road straight to hell. They just can't accept that everyone has their own path and all paths are valid and lead to the same place.

It's a dead heat between Christianity and Islam. They are literally the only two religions in the history of mankind that had a compunction to proselytize and convert the entire world, and in the name of doing so, they have slaughtered untold countless numbers of people.

Mormonism. It's extremely deceptive, very secretive and it's designed, in all respects, to control the adherent... and to remove their desire to even access reason. Other religions can sometimes do something similiar, but not at the level that Mormonism practises it. Very disturbing stuff.

Islamic religion. I got my national geographic magazine and the lost boys of Africa. The Islamic religion took over and slaughter all the people. From the atrosities being done in the middle east to each other to the Hamas in Lebannon to Iran. There are so brutal in the name of religion. Think they should be against the law. That religion should be banned.
