I am looking to play a different ball next year. I bought a sleeve of Pro-v 's at the end of the season and really liked the bite they had around the greens, but I don't like the price tag. Recommend any good spin balls, preferably those that you have used and had success with. Bridgestone e5's?

I feel your pain Yankee fan , I have been playing 12 years now and I have tried many golf balls but I always end up coming back to Titleist PROV1's , that ball simply does the most it has the best feel and the best spin , Yes NikeOne makes a good ball but it is just missing a little something and it is only a couple dollars less than the PROV1 , Hey If you are a good golfer 10 Handicap or less stay with the PROV1 because only a good golfer can really tell the difference between a good ball like a PROV1 and a so so ball , my suggestion to you might be to , stop losing PROV1's on the course HA HA ! just kidding , or do what I do sometimes , go on to EBAY and you can buy reconditioned PROV1's and PROV1X's for a lot cheaper , I have done this a few times and have no complaints , some of the balls might have a few smudges but it does not affect their performance , Oh well that's my two cents .

Good Luck and keep'em in the Fairway !

All of the Nike brand golf balls have very good spin. Surprisingly even the Nike distant ball has quite a bit of spin and is a very cheap ball. So I would say Nike.

If you want to go cheaper than that then Top Flight would be a good choice.

I find the following balls to be have very good spin, so it is really a personal choice between these based on other factors such as price, distance, durability, etc.

Nike Mojo
Top Flite XL-3000 Super Spin
Srixon Hi-Spin
Dunlop LoCo Bite
Dunlop 65u

Maxfli keeps making great golf balls, then discontinuing them.

Revolution was great (not current ones named Revolution, they are not so good).

A10 was even better, but they stopped making that, too.(expensive, though)

I play the Noodle, which has pretty good spin and softness, especially for a cheap ball. My friend plays Nike One Black, and it feels like a rock in comparison with the Noodle.

Oh, wait, they discontinued the Noodle too.
Never mind.

Maxfli sucks....

I had the same problem so i use the Noodle and it does me good. It helped the game a bit because now i dont think of losing my ball.
