I know popping them is not a wise move and I won't do it any more, but I want to get rid of the scars on my back from past pimples that I popped. (try saying that 5x fast lol)

Dermabrasion. They have to actually remove several layers of the damaged skin to get new skin to grow and fill it in. Depends on how deep the scars go. If that is out of your range, then I would try an Alpha-Hydroxy treatment. BeautiControl Cosmetics makes one that really works (and no, I do not work for them or sell their products-I've actually used it) called Regeneration. Just remember after applying anything containing alpha-hydroxy, you also have to moisturize. Alpha-Hydroxy is an acid. It will remove the damaged skin, but you have to protect the new and surrounding skin, too. Wait about 30-45 minutes after applying then use moisturizer. Even acne-prone skin needs to be moisturized. http://www.beauticontrol.com/products_SCrepair.html

I dont know that you can get rid of them completly. But you can go to a dermatologist and get what is called microdermabrasion. It basically uses chemicals to peel layers off your skin hence lightening the scars. I ve seen people who have done this and thier scars are barly visable. It is costly though, it requires many treatments and can be about 80$ a treatment.

Depends on how deep they are.

If they caused pitting you would most likely need to get laser treatment.

If they're just hyperpigmented spots then you can use a cream that will lighten the darkness (if black) or redness (if white) caused by the acne. Many products with hydroquinone will take care of the hyperpigmentation problem, but I suggest using it sparingly and do a test run to check for skin sensitivity.

You can try Mederma. It is supposed to reduce the look of scars though I don't know how well it works. You can also buy a home microdermabrasion kit which should help as well.

Try opening a vitamin E capsule and putting it on your skin. Also take vitamin E by mouth.
