Caffiene is a drug that affects your brain and gives energy. It's found in most sodas (not clear ones like sprite), chocolate, tea, and coffee. It's also in some medication such as excedrin. Sodas and coffee will be labeled if they are caffiene free. Be careful going "cold turkey" though. Caffiene is very addictive, partially because it shrinks blood vessels in your brain, and when you don't get any the blood vessels expand back, causing very painful headaches.

Caffeine is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant, having the effect of temporarily warding off drowsiness and restoring alertness. Beverages containing caffeine, such as coffee, tea, soft drinks and energy drinks enjoy great popularity: caffeine is the world's most widely consumed psychoactive substance. In North America, 90% of adults consume caffeine daily.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caffeine
Around 90 percent of Americans consume caffeine in one form or another every single day. More than half of all American adults consume more than 300 milligrams (mg) of caffeine every day, making it America's most popular drug by far. The caffeine comes in from things like coffee, tea, cola, chocolate, etc.
What is Caffeine?
Caffeine is known medically as trimethylxanthine, and the chemical formula is C8H10N4O2 (see Erowid: Caffeine Chemistry for an image of the molecular structure). When isolated in pure form, caffeine is a white crystalline powder that tastes very bitter. The chief source of pure caffeine is the process of decaffeinating coffee and tea.
Medically, caffeine is useful as a cardiac stimulant and also as a mild diuretic (it increases urine production). Recreationally, it is used to provide a "boost of energy" or a feeling of heightened alertness. It's often used to stay awake longer -- college students and drivers use it to stay awake late into the night. Many people feel as though they "cannot function" in the morning without a cup of coffee to provide caffeine and the boost it gives them.
Caffeine is an addictive drug. Among its many actions, it operates using the same mechanisms that amphetamines, cocaine, and heroin use to stimulate the brain. On a spectrum, caffeine's effects are more mild than amphetamines, cocaine and heroin, but it is manipulating the same channels, and that is one of the things that gives caffeine its addictive qualities. If you feel like you cannot function without it and must consume it every day, then you are addicted to caffeine.

Caffeine is a drug that helps stimulate activity, making it difficult to fall asleep or relax. It shows up in all sorts of drinks--almost all coffee (unless it's decaf), most sodas (there are caffeine free ones), almost all energy drinks, and even some kinds of teas contain caffeine to some extent.

A lot of soft drinks make caffeine free versions. Anymore there are a lot of flavored waters. They don't have caffeine. Some are them are even sugar free, but still taste good. You'll just have to read the labels. Caffeine would be listed in the ingredients

Most pop (pepsi, mountain dew, etc), coffee, tea, have cafffiene. Chocolate also contains caffiene.
Read the label of your beverage, it will tell you if it is caffiene free. Also avoid chocolate before bedtime.
