A sign of a purple or blueish tint is a sign of poor circulation when it is seen in the nails... In some cases it can be cause of a heart issue... a doctor will look at your nails if you request to seek out discoloration and ridges... Apparently the nails can tell you a few things about your state of health! Any other type of purple could be from an injury to the nail bed!

They say that your oxeygen flow has something to do with it. Cold can also cause it. Just to be sure you may want to check with your doctor if it means anything.
