But I find the existence of life on other planets to be far more plausible than a god that created this entire universe, for the express usage of human beings here on earth... specifically, the chosen people that live in a little region called the Middle East.

Each person is different. Some do, I would think that most don't.
But I have yet to see any proof, or even a solid idea of the existence of god outside of "You just have to have faith."

Carl Sagan, a noted scientist you may have heard of, said that "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."
I find this to be true whether we are talking about Aliens or God. So far, neither meets that requirement.
