I am new here and I feel like my question slipped through the cracks. Is it acceptable to repost my question? Or should I just wait longer? Will the Yahoo Answers system somehow bring more attention to my question if I wait long enough?

Thanks for all the help!

Thanks for the tremendous response to this question and double thanks to those of you who visited my other question after reading this one. At the time I posted this, I had only the one response on my first question and now I have several more.

Tips on posting a question:

1) Make sure that you are posting it to the right forum or group. Asking help for your Chevy Tahoe in the singles and dating category is a sure way to not get a response, or at least not a good one.

2) Make the title of the question short but informative. If I post two questions and one says "What do I do?" but the other says "How do I fix my broken heart?" which one are you going to read?

3) Be as informative as possible in the description you give so that people know some history or background about why you asked the question.

4) Try to use the spell checker whenever possible. Even one mistake will get you a flood of answers that will just talk about the typo and not really answer the question.

5) Finally, be patient. Not everyone reads your message the moment you post it, and some do not respond right away as they wan tto think about what you asked and phrase their answer better.

If after three days you did not get a response (or not one that you accept as a best answer) you can always ask the question again, phrasing it a bit differently or using feedback you got from the first question.

I only saw two questions that you posted so far...This one and the one about your girlfriend. You did get six answers on the other one and at least 26 on this one so people did see it and are responding...Maybe it's just not the answers you want to hear?

Sometimes it takes a while for it to come up, if it has and no one responded then make the Question more interesting. Or just repost again, and maybe someone will respond. Goodluck!

Same happened to me. I repoisted it later. the Yahoo Answers system seems to be lost in all the posts.

Sure, post it again.

I see posters that post the same question 10 times. I questioned one why he did that. Then I got a violation !?!? No kidding.

I would repost the question that way in case it was missed people would be able to see it.

if it honestly a good question than re post it because occasionally a question doesn't get put up on the main board hence no on e sees it.
