Most health care professionals will say no or "probably not". The HIV virus is in every bodily fluid however, and that includes saliva. Simply because the risk of acquiring the disease through kissing may be low, doesn't mean it is impossible. You have to decide for yourself if you that is a chance you are willing to take.

Do some research online for yourself, and read up (various websites) on HIV and how it can be contracted...but realize it's a bit easier to get than we're lead to believe. If people knew exactly how easy it was to transmit it, the people with HIV and AIDS would be treated like lepers.

No! u can't get HIV by kissing a person. The only way u can get HIV is by having unprotected sex or someones who have HIV, blood get into your body. The best way to keep you safe from the disease is to use a condom every time.

You know..the media says no you can't and so does the government but honestly I don't think they know just yet. I personally won't take any chances and besides there are other things you can catch from kissing. I might make alot of people upset over that statement but when HIV first came out they said you couldn't catch it through blood so watch what you believe because things change.

The chances of contracting aids whilst kissing are very less, unless you both have cuts on your lips yes you might get it, and it takes about hundreds of litres of saliva to get aids and for that to happen you and your partner will have to kiss for the whole year non stop

Unless there is active bleeding in the oral cavity, no case has been documented where saliva was the vehicle of HIV.

Only if you have a open cut in your mouth and they do too then the blood can pass. but otherwise no, you'd have to drink like litres of their saliva to catch it and i wouldnt advise doing so.

If you have a cut in your mouth,or damaged gums, yes it can happen.
Also, bodily fluids from this person going into your eyes, bodily openings, and cuts, can also transfer it.
