If you want to go out with him to dinner than do it. Maybe he just wants to touch base with you and see how you are doing. Or maybe he wants to bury the hatchet with you on the end of your relationship.Maybe you guys ended it bad and he wants fix this so you guys can be friends.

If you want him back into your life it's up to you but find out what he's been doing for those 9 months you haven't heard from him.
