Yes it is bad at all times, I got busted in Ohio at age 16 with an open container in my truck and learned it illegal at any age.

depends As far as what Ive heard they changed it in MO were you can drink and have open containers in the car as long as the driver hasnt had anything to drink. But it varies state to state as long as your not under the influence you most likely will get a warning and be told to put in in the trunk or hatch.

Just a heads up its not legal in New Mexico unless its just recently changed in the last year. My buddy recieved a warning cuase I had a open 30 pack from the night before and we were heading to a party. A open case of beer is considered a open container.

Yes, it you will get cited for open intoxicants, probably get a field sobriety test and everything in between, honey lets use your head on this. :) However there is one exception, in MIchigan we have a Merlot to Go License that a restaurant is able to obtain upon meeting qualification you may purchas only a bottle of wine and upon your getting ready to cash out, you can request your wine to be recorked so generally I put it in the trunk to avoid drama. anyhow good luck call a good attorney you made need one

In many states of the USA (including CA) and some Canadian provinces and much of Europe one may recork an open bottle of wine and store it in the trunk.

The experience I have had after a new years eve party was that it is okay if it is in the trunk out of the driving cabin of the vehicle and not within easy reach. Aso, I think as long as you are not driving drunk they really wont have a reason to search the vehicle anyway! Good luck and happy new year!

Yes. In the trunk, no, but not if you're drunk, just transporting it. In a motor home? I would guess as long as it's parked and the keys aren't in the ignition.

It depends on the state. In Texas yes - it's illegal.

It will depend on state law, but the only state in which this is legal that I know of is New Mexico.

No it's not but if police get suspicious they may pull you aside for a breath test but if you have nothing to hide then you should oblige!
