The Swiss army knife is just chrome and plastic, not a good tool at all, get your self a Leatherman Knife, a real decent bit of kit.

Don't go for a swiss army knife, go for a Gerber Multi tool! Has all you essential needs plus bottle opener. Do you really need the tiny magnifying lens and the gismo for taking stones out of horses hooves? No Big blade and bottle openers. Gerber that's the one!

leatherman wave...it will do everything. except the tooth pick but you will lose that the first time with a SAK and with a leatherman you can saw down a sappling and whittle yourself a toothpick and file it down sharp then cut your neioghbors cable coax and splice yourself in some HBO and PLayboy channels. If McIver would have had a leatherman the show would still be on he air. Thomas Magnum wished he would have had one in Da Nang. Howard Hughes built an entire airplane with one.
