People are not higher than angels. We were created to be lower than God's heavenly sons. Even God made Jesus to be lower than the angels: "Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; Thou crownedst him with glory and honor, And didst set him over the works of thy hands" Hebrews 2:7

It says redeemed men are higher than angels.
"Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will be heirs of salvation" (Hebrews 1:14)
"Do you not know that God's people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!" (I Corinthians 6:2-3)
See also Ephesians 1:15-23 and 2:1-7, where Christians are presented as being "In Christ", and as such seated with Him "far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come"
Incidentally, Hebrews 2:7 could be equally well translated "You have made him for a little while lower than the angels"

Just the opposite is stated in Scripture - but the Incarnation changed the Order:

In the Old Testament, Psalm 8:4-5, we read: "What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? Or the son of man, that Thou visitest him? Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels; with glory and honour hast Thou crowned him, and Thou hast set him over the works of Thy hands." From this it is clear that in the beginning God created man in a state "a little lower than the angels" -- after all, man was created after God had created the angels. However, at the Incarnation, when the pre-eternal Word and Son of God became man, the dignity of humanity was elevated and man is now in a state above that of the angels! How do we know that? In the New Testament, I Corinthians 6:2-3, we read: "Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels?"

No where does it say that man is higher than the Angels. It says that man in Heaven would be superior than the Angels.

The Bible doesn't clearly lay out the hierarchy of angels, man, and gods: people interpret it a vast different number of ways. I'd suggest you go to wherever you heard/read that Man is higher than angels and see where the author/source got their information. Perhaps it is in there, and I was just unable to find it.

I think that was in a long ago story about Adam and Eve, that the reason Satan fell is because God wanted him to bow down before Adam, But its not in the Bible

I says that right now we are not...but that in Heaven we will be joint heirs with Christ... that puts those who make it to Heaven over the angels.

I believe we are created a little lower than them, but when we ascend into heaven we will judge them. I'd have to look it up.

I don't remember hearing that.

Jesus is sometimes refered to as The Son of Man, maybe that is what you are thinking of.
