Better for what? If it is for a dress,then red is good for a party, but don`t wear red in the street, it makes people look like a letter box and someone may put a letter in your mouth! Blue is magnificent for clothes and cars and kitchen walls. If you add the red to it and put in white, you have the colour of our national flag. Both colours are good, one dose not have to be "better" than the other, they are just different.

Red is traditionally the colour of passion! Think bullfights, red dressed seductresses, blood, roses, firey embers, Mars (the red planet and planet of war), "to see red" = to be very angry past the point of reason, "to raise a red flag" = to be very alarmed about something, "red alert" = the highest priority alarm!
Blue is the colour of serenity. Think of the sky on a summer's day, a calm sea. Blue is traditionally the colour of the Virgin Mary. Blue can also be cold "turning blue" = being very cold. Blue is the absence of passion = bloodless, cold. But it's also the colour of wisdom (maybe those two things are connected!). "Blue-blooded" = aristocratic. "True blue" = utterlly trustworthy. "Feeling blue" = feeling depressed.
They're both awesome colours!
I like the blue of the sea on a hot summer's day, but I think red is my favourite today.

All according which shade. I love light blue, not dark blue. Most of my living room is mozelle blue, it reminds me of the tops those churches on the Greek Islands. But I don't really like dark blue. I love the red colour that is like a really dark pink/scarlet colour. I would have to say blue is the better colour.

better for what? Blue is a better colour in a situation the needs to be calmed, red is better for post boxes etc.
