I cannot believe this....I had been deeply involved with a man who I believed was single. He told me that he was divorced, and had 2 kids. I found out that he has been deceiving me and dumped him. But then I also found out that he is a the head Pastor at a huge Evangelical Christian Church.
Should I expose him for the sake of his congregation or let him continue to live this lie?

Let me clarify a bit for the few who are confused...He is still married and is not getting a divorce. Deeply involved meaning we were talking about marriage.
The odd thing is, He never talked religion when we were together, you would have never thought he was even a Christian! All he told me was that he went to church as a child but didn't go anymore. I'm agnostic, so it didn't really matter to me.
But a Pastor....Lying......this is awful!

Vengence isn't right, but I totally understand why you would want to do this. In all honesty, when I exposed for ex- for the pig that he was after our divorce, it was better than therapy, and cheaper too. Do it. He made his bed, and now he has to lie in it. It's not like you would be telling a lie...you would be teeling the truth. And you didn't know he was married at the time, so it's not like you asked for it. Expose him for the sake of his wife and family!!! They deserve to know!

At the least you should inform the leadership of that church.... tell him you are going to do it first and give him the chance to confess... 24hrs..no more.. then tell
note added:... if he is divorced and has two kids...did he get the divorce while a pastor?... and as pastor of that church? or as pastor or member of another church?...if the answer to these three are yes... then do not hold out much hope for any "disiplin" from that congrigation... they are not following Biblical principles any way.

i'm unsure you will like this answer, because of the fact i'm a sprint at a loss for words. If this person is now no longer with your sister why difficulty? in spite of the undeniable fact that, your sister and he are merely as at fault at the same time. She is the adulterous and he's the adulterer. in the event that they are nevertheless at the same time and you want to loose a sister with the aid of exposing the affair then choose for it. in case you want to maintain your sister, all you're able to do is tell her which you like her, yet you do no longer condone her movements. ultimately, at a while certainty would be revealed no count in case you do it, or he gets caught interior the act from somebody else.

Yes you should. Expose the hypocrites for who they really are for the good of all human beings. Dont just do it out of anger for him, do it because you care about the poor sheep who are following him in that church.

When you say deeply involved, do you mean sexually? If so then are you willing to expose yourself for committing adultery?
Talk privately to him. All of us are sinners in some way and deserve the chance to repent. The bible tells us that if this does not work then take another with you and talk to him. If this does not work, then tell him you will go to his superiors.

Yes. He is a hypocrite, a liar, and an adulterer. He does not need to be preaching morality to anyone. If you don't want to make this public, just go directly to his superiors in his church and tell them what happened. They will handle it, I'm sure.

No, you should take all the values that religion supposedly gives us and flush them down the toilet for the sake of "goodness".
Tell the truth. It shall set you free.
