Is it pretty much how a Jew would view him only without God involved? Do they at least acknowledge his existence?

Being an aethists heres my view- There may well have been a Jesus - i'll go so far as to admit the possiblity of a virgin birth ( it has happened since - and will happen again no doubt) However I do Not belive he was the son of an omnipotent being. I do belive he was an intensly spirtitual man who tried to live life as an example to everyone friend and enemy alike. I think that as a man he was wise, cunning, and may well have understood much about the human condition / healing in a form so basic so primally connected to the universe he was able effect miracles . Ie processes that may be duplicated if one has the correct knowledge. (example a gun today would be a miracle to a cave man ... ) we are only now comeing to understand the power of meditation / prayer - i think jesus may well have discovered its full potential - however - i do not and will never belive he is divine, or was anything other than human.

I do not acknowledge Jesus' existence nor his morality.

All accounts, both religious and secular, of Jesus' existence, were written by people born after the death of Jesus. Therefore, their accounts are only hearsay. Hearsay is dismissed as evidence in court, and so is not enough to prove that Jesus existed. See this site for a breakdown of every historical mention of Jesus: http://www.nobeliefs.com/exist.htm

Also, while many Christians have an idealistic and perfect view of Jesus from the Bible, careful study of the words of Jesus from the Bible shows that Jesus was actually demeaning, intolerant, and hypocritical. You are anti Semitic obviously. I am an atheist and far from any Semite views. Atheists do not view anything the same as another atheist. All atheists do no have a set of beliefs that are universal just as all supposed Christians, Jews and Muslims do not agree with a set of uniform beliefs. That is a human trait that no one can agree on anything. Personally Jesus isn't someone I think about or know anything about. I cannot tell from what I know as to what to think of him. I cannot be sure of anything I have learned about him as reliable as the information comes from ancient scriptures written for and by men to further earthly needs and not written by a God. I find it flattering and a revelation to have some anti-semitic neo christian value the opinion of an atheist as if an atheist could validate anything important to them.

He might have existed. Doesn't matter. I think he is just a story character. The guy they wrote about in the bible sure wasn't real. Even if a comic book hero is based on a real character, it doesn't make the comic true.

There may have been a Peter Parker that really lived in Sunnyside Queens, but that does not lend any truth to the story of Spiderman, who coincidentally has more written about himself than Jesus.

I view him as an enlightened teacher whose sound moral principles have been perverted and made into a worthless creed by evangelicals. I have no problem with ordinary Christianity which reflects the ethics of Christ, just the conservative variety that actively promotes intolerance.

I'm sure some atheists don't even believe he existed, while others just may believe that the bible just distorts and exaggerates Jesus.

Like the Buddhists view him. Maybe a little less than that though.

I'm Atheist, I do acknowledge his existence and consider him one of the greatest man who ever existed. He was a King, a healer and a great MAN.

Atheists do not believe in God so they do not believe in Jesus either, which is their choice.

Don't know if he really existed or not.
He didn't say anything that isn't found elsewhere.
His disciples added a few things, but who cares about that?
