I had acne when I was younger and I had tried almost everything back then. The only thing that really helped me get rid of it was something like a facial wash called Teen Derm. It is a cleaner which I used every morning (ocasionally evening too) and only for about a month or too I was no longer having that awful problem. I had a real bad acne but with this treatment I left for the summer vacation with acne and came back without it.
I think Teen Derm are French treatments and I hope you have it in your country - it really helps.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.
In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.
Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.
In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.
If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

Tea tree oil is really good for skin with acne but then use a light moisturiser after it to balance it out and not overdry the skin. Also a good acne cream containing Benzoyl Peroxide will help prevent and get rid of your spots - Quindorm cream is the only product availabe over the counter at your local chemist without prescription - I use it twice a day and you get results in a few days.. Otherwise, if it's really bad and you're really worried, go to your doctor and ask for something with Benzoyl Peroxide in it on prescription. I know how you feel and acne is not nice but if you look after your skin properly!
Also remember: Do NOT: Over-use make-up or greasy products on your face, this will just clog up your pores more and provide you with more zits.
Pick or squeeze those spots, it can cause scarring and make it a whole lot worse!
Good luck!

Honestly speaking, there is no permanent solution to acne for some of us. A lot of factors play a big role in the development of acne. 1. Do you wear your hair up or down? Some people dont realize that the dirt in their hair may be the cause of acne 2. Do you wear make up? STOP for 2 weeks and add one cosmetic product a week to see which ones exacerbate the acne. 3. Use benzoyl peroxide to spot treat the acne. 4. Wear sunblock even when your indoors. as for the spots, find licorice creams or hydroquinone creams for the marks, use contractubex

I developed acne and the only thing that helped was just washing my face with water, that's all! Because some people's skin is sensitive and has acne as a reaction to all the face washes. Try it for a couple of weeks and you should see an improvement. And save money!

Just make sure you wash your face evey night, try washing your face with Gram Flour and water (It is a very good natural cleanser). But also do go to the doctors and get something containing Benzoyl Peroxide. That will be the best option.

You can buy any number of really expensive acne "systems", (that don't seem to work for me.)
I use Cetaphil cleanser mixed with a bit of baking soda, as a scrub in the morning and at night. I use peroxide as a toner. Then, a moisturizer with 8% glycolic acid and an SPF, in the morning.

Yes, wash your face twice daily. Once after you wake up, and then wash again before you go to bed. A good cleanser to use is garnier skin naturals pure (the gel). Everyones skin reacts differently to different cleansers but once you find the one that works, its all good. Good luck!
