Chuck "icethumb" almost blind few fighter.
Beside that, Mir snapping Tim Sylvia's arm into two like a toothpick. Few weeks later Frank Mir was riding motorcycle and got hit by a car and shattered his femur. A witness report seeing Tim Sylvia speeding away from the scene in a car.

Well although the Sylvia getting his arm snapped looked nasty it wasn't that bad. Franklin required sugery to fix his nose. Lots of concussions broken hands feet. Torn muscles and ligaments.
A guy in another MMA comp. Got poked in the eye while fighting and didn't get it checked in time and went blind. Most of the serious injuries come in unsanctioned fights. Where there are no refs or Dr's.
