Yes. Some specific varieties of oranges, called blood oranges, can take on a purplish tint. They are still considered oranges though. Check out the website for specifics.

I have seen them. I found one at Wegmans (grocery store in the Northeast) and it was a "raspberry orange". It was the texture, shape, look of an orange, but had a purple color to the skin, and the actual fruit inside.. and tasted like a raspberry and orange. It was good!
