Break up with your g/f of two years?? Is this a way of breaking up?? (see add'l details for what happened)

If your g/f told you she feared that after two years you two had lost what you had, would you be upset?? What if she then added that she would like you to let her see other people and if she found that she still liked you she would come back. Would you accept her offer or break up with her??
What if she ended up finding out she still loved you. Would you take her back??

I'd be upset if my gf said that, but I would not hold a candle for this person. Once we've broken up, I will never go back.

that would be what would be called an open relationship. after a couple who have a relationship for that long start to doubt if they are right for each other and want a chance to date other people to find out. alot of times they will get back together and sometimes not

I guess if you really love someone all you should want is for him/her to be happy. I don't have a girlfriend but I am in love with a girl who does not feel the same about me and yet I want her to be happy and find the guy she can love. I guess love is uncondiitonal and if she ever comes to me even after being with 100 guys I would still welcome her with open arms ... but I have to add not all guys would agree with me

If I wasn't getting what I needed, I'd break up with her.
