To Muslims:A muslim friend in an arab country told me that bin ladden was never popular in the middle east &-?

that all muslims consider him an infidel because he kills civilians for no reason and because his actions offered America a good reason to occupy middle east countries and bring ruin and instability to muslims and harmed them more than anyone in history!I asked him about the huge popularity our media says he enjoys in the muslim world and he said he doesn't understand why our media promotes such weird lie and that I could ask muslims myself what they think via the net.
So any muslims here willing to tell me what they think of Bin ladden and why? Thank you and may God bless all of us.

What your friend told you is is the truth.
I am a muslim from an arab country and neither I nor anyone I know likes that bin ladden thug. He is nothing but a criminal at best and a colonial tool at worst. He had never been popular here and never will. I too wonder why do western media depict him as a muslim hero! He is a disaster, a killer, and could never be a muslim.
And yes you can check what muslims think of him using mirc. I guess the more people from different cultures talk together the more very interesting facts would show up. Conversation is much better than all this mutual dumb hate.

Yes i think the same about him, he is the person becuase of whom America is killing peoples around the world !!!

I have read a news where four of the french soldiers have confirmed that when they were working with American army, they got very close to laden twice, and wanted to shoot him but "American army didn't allow them to shoot him" , whts this?? ofcourse America is letting him free so that It can invade an other country making him as an excuse ...No wonder he wo
would be seen in Iran soon and then in Pakistan.

Its impossible to answer - its like saying what do Americans think about Bush ? some of them love him and some absolutely hate him - there are 300 million Americans and 1.5 billion Muslims!!

With regards what i 'think' is the majority opinion - most Muslim condemn the killing of innocents which Bin Laden has done and is strictly forbidden in sharia- the diference and moral superiority of Muslims is they condemn the killers of innocents whether they are Muslims or non-Muslims (e.g Bush,US army , Blair, Olmert) - Christians only condemn the killing of innocents by Muslims never by Christians like Bush

I personally consider him a heretic because he issues false religious fatwas (decrees) calling for forbidden things (killing civilians) and he is not quualified to do so (he's not a scholar of islam) interestingly even the Taliban who sheltered him (out of a feeling of duty after he helped the Afghans against the Russians) condemnded his issuing fatwa and said he was not entitled to do so


However many Muslims also admire Bin laden for his good actions - he was born into a very rich family but he gave it all up to help the Muslims Muhajideen (called "are the moral equivalents of America's founding fathers." by Ronald Reagan) fight the Russian invaders of their country

Some Muslims still support Bin Laden because he is against the US which is the enemy of Muslims "the enemy of my enemy is my freind" and speaks up against the opression of Muslims

However I would say that the vast majority of Muslims including myself reject both terrorisms that of the US and of Bin Laden
Sadly many non-Muslims hypocrtically want Muslim to condemn Bin laden but not condemn the US which has killed many many more


It is also important to note that in Islamic law even if a person commits a major major sin (such as killing innocents) he is not consider a non-Believer by virtue of the fact

I think he works for Bush and the two are happy to be in the conspiracy. It works for Bush in that he can blame and condemn a whole Muslim nation for the acts of a few and he thinks it justifies his actions in this ridiculous war. It works for Bin Ladden that extremist hail him as some leader. Its a win,win situation for both of them. Why do you think Bin Ladden has not been found? why do you think he is still alive? It's true what your friend said. Binladden does kill civilians and he did give us an excuse to occupy a country that had nothing to do with him.
