Ginger anything does not help with pain. Ginger is only good for nausea. Peppermint is good if you have indigestion and need help moving the food along, but it will not help with stomach pain.
Honestly, if you have stomach aches, a heating pad is the only thing you can do. And the heat does help. It relaxes the muscles that are cramping up inside causing the pain.
I used to get stomach aches all the time. The doctors said there is no medicine that cures a stomach ache. Years later, I got into natural medicine, discovered that nothing in natural medicine helped a stomach ache either. (Did find a cure for hiccups though! LOL.) Then I decided to try a heating pad one day and it worked! Been using it for stomach aches since. Wish I had thought of it (or someone had told me about it) years ago.

You might have a infection in your stomach that makes your stomach hurt. I think its called heartburn (although it has absolutely no connections with the heart), my mom had it a while ago and she couldn't eat tough/hard foods for a month or so. I advise if you actually have this then you should go to a doc or lay off the stuff thats really hard to digest and go with softer ones.
Or it could be a very simple problem. Go to the bathroom and take time to answer to mother nature. If you're holding it in then it just hurts really bad and then all at once you find yourself stuck in the bathroom for a long time. Go to the bathroom regularly and for the lack of words, crap.
But if you're just having a regular stomach ache then I myself just drink a lot of hot water(not warm) and lay down on a fluffy couch and a downy pillow and just watch a favorite comedy with something warm against my stomach (like a heating pad).
A drink of Coke or gingerale works too.

just to reinforce... Ginger is great... Buy a little fresh and grate it into a cup of warm tea. Peppermint is really good. If you have space to grow some peppermint, so you can have your own you could chew the leaves or make tea. (A tiny plany will become a big patch in a few months.) Fenugreek is good to find for more serious stomach issues. Pennyroyal, a type of mint is good as well and will, by the way also be FABULOUS for menstrual cramps !!! (healthfood stores will have this either in tea or capsule form) If you like soup, celery cooked with leaves as well are also a great stomach curative. Hopefully you will have at least one of these in your house now.

Ginger snaps.
Gingerale might work, but the kind you get in the store usually doesn't have any real ginger in it. But who knows? Some people say the carbonation alone helps.

Avoid spicy foods that can irritate the stomach. Cut out things in your diet, such as milk, one at a time to see if it helps. Please see your doctor. You might try Acidophilus which you can get in capsules or liquid form at a health food or vitamin store. It is a natural enzyme that aides is digestion.
