You'll probably never feel anything quite so powerful, beautiful, and painful all at once. When you love (truly love) you are more vulnerable and therefore open to more feelings and even potential hurt. Yet, what would life be if we did not take that risk? Even those of us who failed at love, keep trying. Many songs are about love, as well as books, movies, articles, etc. See how many dating sites there are offering to meet your "true love".
Yes, you will be freaked out. All you can do is go with it. You are probably quite young so there are many years, and experiences ahead for you. Hang in there.

it should'nt necessarily "freak you out."
just makes you start thinking more about
something different.
I mean, sure, this one person may be the love of your life.
but is that a bad thing?
