I have never preached a political message in all my life as a clergyman. Except on abortion, which I have done exactly twice in 12 years. You need to find a new church.

you may actual ask that query approximately African-American church homes provided that they have been heavily in touch in politics simply by fact the Nineteen Sixties. they could have lost their tax exemption some time past. LDS, besides the undeniable fact that, isn't doing something diverse than the Democratic party did by utilising getting out the black vote to insure President Obama's election. the adaptation is LDS has ethical motives (as befits a Church), whilst the Dems have been in simple terms after funds and power.

I love God so much, but I don't attend church. I have church at my home. I won't even get the paper in the morning before I read my Bible Scriptures. I don't mean to sound ugly, but the things you spoke of turn me off from church. So many times in my life I've put people on a pedestal and they fell off and I was hurt. Now I know to only put God on a pedestal and he'll never fall off.

The problem is that too many religionists think it is a violation of their rights if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat. They should keep their beliefs where they belong and not try to make their narrow religious prejudices the laws that everybody has to live under.

So true. I was asked (in church), weather I was an American first, or a Christian first, sheesh! I said American first, because I was born here, and did not choose it, I chose to be a Christian. That did not go over well. Church is in your heart, you don't need that building to Praise God.

That can happen in the main line denominations. I would suggest a Non Denominational or independent church. We need to attend somewhere.

This really is so typical of false religion today. So you must try
sincerely to do as admonished at (Rev.18:4,5)"And I heard a voice
out of heaven say: "Get out of her my people,if you do not want to
share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to recieve part of
her plagues.(5)For her sins have massed togeather clear up to the heavens, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind."Jesus
Christ said he was no part of this world and true Christians should
sincerely try to emulate him in that regard.
