im 18 and want to surprise my parents by flying over to see them

I'm sure you'll be fine if you're 18 but some airlines may want you to have a credit card to reserve it.

18 of course would be fine.

In fact, you can buy an airline ticket at any age. But each airline has a policy for how old you have to be to fly alone. Most of them its 12 or older.

I would think 18. At 18 you are legally considered an adult

18 is an adult, therefore you are able to purchase your own tickets.

all you need is a credit card. and usually yo have to be 18+ to have acredit card.
