Does anyone else think that Suddam Hussein is the "beast" mentioned in the Bible in Revelation, specifically Revelation 13:3?

"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." Revelation 13:3.

It will be interesting to see how the next year plays out.

No, I do not believe that Saddam is the "beast" as mentioned in the Bible. I don't believe it's that time yet. This is only my opinion.

OK so Saddam calls America the beast or great Satan, America call him the same, the Protestants call the Catholic church the beast and so it goes on.
The true beast is the evil in the heart of man.
After all who commits all these crimes, Gods ? Demons? No.
Human beings do. So stop looking to some mystic book for the answers to evil and look to the corruption in your own hearts.

Saddam was made out to be the beast by this current administration. His execution will be for the PR benefit of this administration and not for the Iraqi people.

Out of millions of beats throughout history, you think Saddam is the "one"?

Why?

There are plenty of bad people out there, so what makes Saddam worse than any of those?

Granted, he is a butthead, and he makes the perfect scapegoat for the Bush invasion, but Saddam is nothing special. He's like any other dictator of a small country.

I never really thought of it that way.

I'm sure I'm missing an obvious point, but what about this verse makes you believe that Saddam is the Beast?

Wasn't the beast already ruling the world at that point? I'll have to re-read rev. 13, but I doubt if it's referring to Saddam.

No. The beast comes back to life. This is during the tribulation, which isn't going on now.

He was a paper tiger-a complete non-entity- who was hyped up as the baddest man alive to justify the invasion of Iraq.
