I have to agree with the girl next door. Being in love is an awesome feeling. And when the two of you know you love each other is when you start taking care of each other and buying cool gifts that are meaningful and such. Then you'll feel like you are on cloud 9.

I was there with my ex and it was the best feeling ever.
And I miss her dearly.

To love is to be happy. However, sometimes love can hurt horribly when it doesn't work out for a favored result. Love is a necessary component in our mind. We need to love, and to be loved, or these feelings can drive a person to psychotics. When you don't love, you don't know what you're missing, possibly making for a very lonely, hollow existance. Love is just there. It is felt subconciously no matter the circumstances. In some cases it is simply impossible to overcome. Just look at Romeo and Juliet...
Love is something that will never cease to exist in a person. It must be channeled to something else in the event that a person is not able to fill the void. You can't escape love, so no matter what, in one way or another, it always makes you happy.
Season's Greetings!

there is nothing like falling in love.. the looks, the first flirts, the first touch, hearts racing.. and OH my God! the first kiss. What hurts in love is rejections or betrayal. I have fallen in love, I have been betrayed, and I have had rejections. some of the rejections I've have been for the strangest reasons I've ever heard. I actually had a man tell me he was affraid to get close to me and preferred to date 'skanks'. I asked why, he said it was safer to date a skank that he knew he'd eventually dump than to fall for a "Bombshell" who he couldn't predict. I was flattered,, but still, didn't get the guy. Who'd a thunk it? He was a coward and chose not to love, he wasn't happy. Opening up your heart is always a risk, but the pay off, even if it doesn't last forever, is worth it. I so hope I can find the man of my dreams some day.

I have done that. I chose to love a man even thou I knew that we could only have a couple of years together (we got 4) and it was killing me when he no longer was by my side but I have never regret it. In the long run I have a lot of good memories to make me happy and the four years was wonderful. I don't know what my life would have been if I had chosen not to be with him but I would have lived my life wondering.

It is better to love and to be loved. When you are by alone, but happy, that is one type of love. The love that you have for yourself, which is important, is one thing and the love that you have for the fact that you are alone.
But, being in love is a different type of feeling, emotion, and gives you an all around good feeling.
So, I think it is better to love.

I think love is a part of our life, we aren't complete if we don't fall in love. Of course many times we are heart and our heart is broken but from that we learn more. We should love a person, an object, a story, a poem, a song. this make our life brighter.

Better to love than not at all, granted there is no pain greater than a broken heart but the life lesson is well worth it.

all I know is this saying: It's better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all. I say that it's better to know what it feels like to be loved and love someone then not know what it feels like at all.
