Do you have Home Depot or Lowes? Those are chain hardware stores.

Yeah, you probably want something like a 20 gauge stainless steel sheet in a type 400-series alloy. Specify "mirror-bright". You may have to anneal it to make it malleable, but thats a good start.

Would aluminum be OK. After your done you can polish it to a high shine. Most heating contractors will cut pieces to size for you. It's not expensive. They also have galvanized and may have stainless steel. Just ask. My local places are quite friendly.
