Why does anyone pout? He feels like it, and thinks it might get him what he wants.

One of my dogs pouts when she gets in trouble for something. She will go lay in her bed and pout. Thats the only time she pouts. My other dog pouts when he feels like he got the short end of the stick. We will give both of them bones. He doesnt want the one we gave him, he wants the other one. So we wont let him have it, and give him his again, and he just looks at it and pouts.

They want to get their own way and have found that this makes you attend to them. My dogs have all kinds of moods, but my chihuahua is the master of the art of pouting. She can sit and narrow her eyes and shoot us some serious looks. Aren't pets a joy.

Because it really, really wanted to go outside and play fetch but you were busy being a couch potato. Retrievers are fantastic water dogs that need lots of exercise and attention which they repay with love and loyalty in spades. :}

Yes, I think he thinks that he can get what he wants if he pouts. Sometimes, they may pout if someone yelled at them.

They don't feel like you're giving enough affection to them or they want something you said no to...like table scraps.
