You need to make a list of priorities. What is most important to you. That will get you started.

Next you have to decide where to put your time. Using the list you have of priorities will help you determine what gets put first because you will know what is more important.

A scheduling book/organizer might be essential for you to keep track of the time you have. I make lists of things I need to do, and I keep track of all the places I need to be and when. This helps me stay on top of everything and see with my own two eyes where my time is going.

Be sure to maximize the time you have by multi-tasking when you can. Use the time in lines or at a red light to read for school, balance a check book, update your planner, make a phone call, write a note, or other small tasks like that. Every second counts.

Schedule time for yourself. Essential. It can be as simple as one hour every night to journal or one half hour every morning to put your make up on to music. Your time. Just for you, doing something you love that is good for you.

Kill two birds with one stone when you can - see more than one friend at once, hang out with friends and family together, excercise with friends, do homework with friends, etc.

When you have time with someone, even if it's short, make it count. A 15 minute walk home can count as excercise and as a visit with a friend.

Get creative. It only gets harder.

Set priorities and make a budget. Same as you would about money.

Decide on what is important and how much time you need to spend on it. Then apply your own common sense about WHEN to budget the time for each activity. You may have to rearrange some of what you normally do, such as make homework a high priority on weekdays, and friends a higher priority on weekends. Take into consideration that late evening, when you are tired, is not the best time for studying, but may be ideal for phone calls to those friends you have not had time to talk to during the earlier hours. If your work is THAT important, you may have to cut down a bit on some kinds of socializing. (but that's what work is about, even as an adult) Lay it all out on paper, at first so you can make adjustments.

Hopefully, you can talk about this "budget" with your family and some of your friends. You are going to need their cooperation to make this work. Life has always been, and will always be, a series of compromises. Nobody gets everything they want everytime they want it.

Time is very precious, in 2007. Get up early and go to bed later so that you get 7-8 hours of sleep.
Every minute should be used productively, arrive early for your job, avoid e-mail at work, set your goals of what you must do to make your boss happy
1 evening and family dinner and Sunday is Family Day
Sunday or Friday night is FRiends, avoid texting, cell phones, emails, chats its a waste of time

You just have to realize what's more important in the long run. Your school is there, family will always be there, TRUE friends understand, and work is just the part that's hard for anyone to handle.

Do what you like the least first and the things you like the most will fall into place.
