U need an equel balance of diet and exercise. Lower carb intake, cut out any carbinated drinks(alcohol & pop). What u wiegh now, divide that # by 2 and thats how many ozs of water one should drink. As for a work out: stomach crunches ( An 8 minute ab tape used daily is great), leg raises r really great for the lower abs, running and swimming also helps. Remember when u increase ur heart rate, u burn calaries. The health guides I like best are: Denise Austin, and Dr. Oz's "u on a diet" book. Their ur basics that r just plain health. Its about making healther choices and why. Its not about taking anything away or punishing urself Try it!

Get a pilates or exercise ball and lay on it rest on the ball around your shoulder blades and keep your feet shoulder length apart. Then bend your knees bringing your butt to the floor. The whole time keep your midsection tight. I have been doing this for a year and it has made an amazing difference on my stomach. I'm pregnant now and still can do these exercises because it doesn't put any strain on your spine like crunches do on the floor. My doc did an ultrasound yesterday and commented on my stomach muscles getting in the way of seeing the baby. It felt really good.

You can not spot train. You need to incorporate a cardiovascular workout into your daily regimen, eat sensibly, do strenght training to increase your overall muscle mass, and target your ab muscles with crunches and sit ups. Eventually you will lose belly fat but remember that you can never lose fat in just one part of your body, you lose it everywhere.

It has to be an overall exercise routine. Try some cardio (swimming is very effective), definitely focus on your diet (the white bread and white rice is not good!).
