Put it in a mutual fund and watch the money grow - that can be very fun.

Doesn't sound like an addiction from what you said. If your spending is making you unable to pay your bills or you are buying things you really don't need, then that's a problem. Everyone should budget in money for entertainment. So if that is what you want to spend your little bit of extra money a month...or on eating out, then go for it. But don't let it dip into your living expenses money. If you have been late on paying bills or have missed payments...then you need to sit down with a financial planner and get on a budget. Because that will seriously ruin your credit score.

Have someone you KNOW you can trust to hold the money for you - in a savings account. When you get money, it has to go right to them. Then have them give you an allowance that will be sufficient for the things you need. If you want to spend money on anything beyond the allowance, you will have to convince them it is necessary.

the high from getting things you want make you feel like every
thing is OK.but you could get someone to hold your money.but
they need to be pretty good at saying no to you.you could also get
what is called a payee they take your money pay your bills
and you get a small some of money every week.but that is a drastic step. but if you cant control your spending then it may

Give yourself a cash budget for the week and keep your credit and bank cards at home. This will make you think twice about buying things, because you will only have access to a little money at a time. Also, you will not be able to impulsively get more money or use credit cards.

Put it in the bank and forget about it till you deposit more money. The less you have on hand the less you will spend. It works for me.

That is a serious symptom of bipolar mania.;.. medication may help but nothing will stop it from being in the back of your mind.

I know cause I am one.
