okay i know your going to think im crazy but try it it works next time someone has the hiccups ask them a couple questions for example what do fish do? they say swim or whatever, and then ask what do birds do? the answer fly or whatever and then see if they still have the hiccups. it takes their minds off the hiccups and usually they will go away. dont ask me why but it helps

Hiccups are caused by air bubbles in your stomach. There are several ways to get rid of them. The two best are: #1.Have somebody cover your ears and take a couple big drinks of water. #2.(I can hold my breath for a long time, so this works better for me than most people) hold your breath until you feel like if you did any longer you would pass out. those are the two best in order.

They're causes by irritation of a nerve which in turn causes tyour diaphragm to contract prematurely.
Here's the best thing I've found for getting rid of them: Swallow a teaspoonful of sugar & drink a glass of water immediately after.

It usually starts by having something stuck in your food vein..Drink water as soon as it starts....if you try to press your chin against your neck+chest it will stop....tested and approved!!

3 things cause it, growing, eating alot withoout drinking, and drinking alot without eating. I have never found a way to stop them in all cases.

1. you eat too fast.
2. hold your breath for 20 seconds (or as long as you can) afterwards keep breathing slowly

3.take a spoonful of sugar. trust me, it works.
