i wiash it every other day, and its still greasy around my bangs and underneath near my neck !. my face gets very oily becaue i have some acne. not severe. and yes i do straighten my hair. its a big wavy mess i hate it. so i straighten every other day with my CHI hair straighner.which doesnt damage it as bad as others ands stuff. but some of my friends say it cant be from straighening ? is it my shampoo or an oily face?

Hi, I USED TO HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE. This is what I did, try a different shampoo, I use Keratase oil balancing shampoo, make sure you RINSE your hair thoroughly regardless of what shampoo you use. Do not use shampoo's such as fructis which have a lot of silicone and laccer in it which weighs the hair down and makes it greasy. Don't use conditioner except on the roots. Hope this helps.

You're probably not washing it right. You really have to scrub! Make sure you get the back of your head, and the places it's most greasy. My hair is really thick also. I was it every other day, and I use a shampoo that I get from my hairstylist. Try asking your stylist what he/she uses to wash your hair, and buy some of it from the salon. You may need to get a clarifying shampoo. Do not put conditioner on the top of your head. It will make your hair greasier than it already is.

You need to make sure that you are doing a good job with the actual washing of your hair. Do you use a lot of products in your hair? If so, you may need to cut down. Also, I find it better if you stay in the same product line. You may be using two products from different companies that do not compliment each other and that may be causing the problem. Try switching to another shampoo and see if that works. Good luck and God bless!

Make sure you are using the right shampoo for your hair. You need to get for oily/greasy hair formula. I noticed my naturally oily hair was getting worse. When I looked at the bottle, I noticed my husband bought the wrong shampoo. He bought for dry hair and I noticed a difference right away. Good Luck.

Try a different shampoo. You probably have naturaly oily hair. So you might want to try washing your hair every day too.

washing every other day is fine. i would say try another shampoo, one that is for oily scalp and hair. the one you are using now may be to moisturizing.

Don't use conditioner every time you wash your hair. If you need conditioner to get a comb through it, just put it on the ends up to half way up. Or change your conditioner. Hope this helps.

Also, you could change your diet to a more healthy one. Less fatty foods, more fruits and vegetables.

dont wash it everyday! that attraces lice and effects your hair. you might want to change shampoos. if your using a moisturizing shampoo that might cause greasyness. =]
