Pick the guy. Popularity is overrated. I was popular in school and it got me nowhere. You know why? Because you always will go someplace where you end up not being popular again. Just wait until college. The campuses are so big, you are a small fish in a big pond. Plus, with popularity comes more peer pressure. When I was in school, the kids who ended up getting pregnant or arrested were the popular ones. They go to these parties and do things that kids their age have no business doing. Stick to being liked (not popular, there is a difference.)

In high school or any other time in your life, the most important thing is too follow your heart...if you are honestly considering missing out on something that could be special so you can preserve your popularity..you need to grow up. If your friends won't like you anymore because you start dating someone who isn't popular, hey genius, they aren't your friends in the first place..always, always, always follow your heart in everything you do and you will be happy..that..is the meaning of life..

Listen ok. You can still be popular by dateing the guy. Heck I mean if some people dont like you when you date him then you would know not to be friends with them anymore.

i would pick the good guy. i would want to date a person who is good to me and would care for me. where it is an equal relationship. i used to be really caught up with the whole popularity thing but then i found a boy i really like and we have a successful relation that has lasted 8 months. it doesn't matter what other people think it is what makes you feel happy. its not about them, its your relationship not theirs.

Life is about being happy. If being with this unpopular kid is going to make you happy then the choice is obvious. And i seriously doubt that being popular is going to make you happy; just wait until people start rumors about you, you won't be happy then.
