The relationship is not working, and I know I'm a fool to think that he will come back for me. I'm 22 and he's 27. He wants me to wait another 2 years for him, and that's not something I can do. I do love him, but I can't wait for 2 years. I want to forget him now, but how do I do it?

People will tell you to find someone else, go shopping with friends, go drinking, the truth is that you have your own way of getting closure, any of those ideas will make you feel better for a few minutes but the heart ache will still be there. The best thing to do is face that you and him are over. You need to cry and just do anything u want to. It wont just be a day and your over him, it will take awhile, but just know that you will feel better.

Why does everything have to be about sex...God we men are pigs. I'm only 14 and my girlfriends 15 we have sex but thats just to show how much we care about it not something we just throw around like some thing that means nothing but if you truly love him youd stay with him but if not tell him how you feel try to tell him you want to take a brake and if/when he comes back if you never found anyone you love then get back with him if he wants too...but hey this is just some stupid 14 year-old-boys opinion.

Um he wants you to wait. I would say that you need to move on, but unfortunately it is like a hangover and there is no cure except for time. Everyone is different though it could be a couple of months, a year, or a few days. I hope that you move on and he is not the only guy out there.

speaking from experience, there is no quick way or correct way to forget about people. the only thing you can do is give it TIME and give yourself SPACE. it cant be rushed or put on a time schedule. LOVE is like a double edged sword. it can be the most wonderful thing on earth and it can also be the worst thing to ever experience. just make you sure you love urself first and foremost and after that you'll be able to share ur love with others who deserve it.
