A lot of the answers which have been submitted are quite creative and effective. I found that having the children go with you while you exercise aerobically is quite effective for both you and the children.
Get an exercise stroller if the children are still young enough.
Have them play with their toys, etc. while you skip rope (four sets of ten minutes is more than enough).
Do callisthenics's (i.e., push ups, "v" ups, kick outs, jumping squats, you get the picture ...) while preparing meals, preparing baths, tidying up, etc.
Remember, you don't have to do it all at one time (as in a gym setting), it just has to get done.
Good luck and Happy New Year!

There are books that have exercise and you can have your children help.

Real-World Fitness: Fun and innovative ways to help you sneak in activity at home, at work and with the kids by Kathy Kaehler

I do the Walk Away the Pound videos and my niece (4 years) will do them with me. They are quick (18 min for 1 mile), and older children can do them with you. They like the marching and walking from side to side.

If you go on Amazon.com you can look up books and videos that you can exercise with your kids and infants. There are too many to list here. Good luck!

Why not try a dance exercise video. The kids can dance along to it while you do the proper moves. Also if you have cable or satililte TV there are exercise programs on in the morning you can follow along with while you kids eat breakfast or do the moves with you. Have you considered joining the YMCA? They offer programs for adults and kids. Also check you insurance website and the often offer excercise programs at a discount with child care included or family exercise programs.

okay, you might feel silly at first but OVER exaggerate some of your chores. like stand side ways next to the washer and twist & stretch to get the clothes out. do squawts to get them out of the dryer. lunges while mopping. walk the whole floor when vaccuming instead of short back & forth motions. wash dishes by hand not with the dishwasher. and do some stretching in the kitchen in between cups & bowels & pots, ect. also when you're in the shower do a cold water rinse at the end. this tightens the pores, locks in condtioner in your hair, and your body burns a little extra calories trying to warm up. put a kid on your calves and do leg lifts. and when you go outside to play copy the kids. {they will think it's funny} if you watch you'll see that kids have a GREAT workout program. babies especially have a good ab routine.

Exercise WITH 2 small children? Maybe jump rope? Gives a good workout for your heart and lungs, and it's something they can do too!

How small are the children? If they're still in a stroller you can go jogging with them, and give 'em a good ride (get one of those sport strollers though)

My four year old son loves for me to put on a wiggles tape and I exercise and he dances , we take a break and dance together, it's a blast. We also put a blanket down and I do floor exercise while he tries to imitate me.

Take them for walks. Dance with them. Play with them. Make exercise a family activity. It's good for you and good for them.
