That depends on your country you are from.
In the US ATM cards without the MasterCard or Visa card symbol can not be used online except for bill payments.
In other countries
Maestro cards can be used at some online merchants and the bank must support this as well.

An ATM and Debit card are two different things. To check if it's a debit card there will be a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc logo will be on the bottom corner.

Not with a true ATM card.
If it is a debit/atm card with a Visa or MasteCard logo, it will depend on the policy of your bank. Some allow it, some don't.
Best bet is to call customer service department of your bank and ask them.

Yep and it's soo much better than a credit card, because if you ain't got it (the money) then you don't get it (the goods) lol.
Helps with overbuying, so shop away if it's Mastercard of Visa.

if your debt card carry any of the visa master etc logo you can however some online store do accept debt cards without the logos
