Everyone is talking about sugar and rotting teeth.

Think about this. The first thing I learn in automechanics in school was to take a can of coke and pour some on the battery posts to clean them. It reacted like acid and cleaned them very well.

Now, think about the same reaction in your stomach.

However, on another note, I do not drink any other cola except for Diet Coke. I figure since I am going to die sometime anyway, I may as well enjoy my life my way, before I do.

coca-cola is my drink of choice as well, but if you want to know how powerful this liquid is, here is something to try.

Pour the coke into any rusted metal container-it will eat the rust off.
Pour it into a tub or toilet with nasty scum or iron deposits-it will make it glisten in around 30 minutes.
Pour it onto corrodid battery cables-the acid will be gone right in front of your eyes.

Now imagine pouring this into your body. It is doing the same thing.

It is also loaded with sugar and calories that is not good for you in large amounts.

Just some food for thought :)

Well it is full of sugar and empty calories. It's definitely not good for you, not like drinking something like water or juice would be. Just like any "junk food" it's okay in moderation. I say this as I'm sitting here drinking a coke but I know I could have made a healthier choice.

The only thing I know is that it leads to obesity if you drink too much of it because of the sugars and that it can dehydrate you if you don't drink enough water instead of Coco Cola.

Go here and there's an article on it.

Yes, it is. You can clog your arteries! There was an experiment where a real tooth was set in coke for a few hours, and the tooth started to decay and rot, it eventually deteriorated away! Try to cut back, I'm not telling you to stop completely, but why not cut back, i know all about the sweet temptations,it wont be to easy, but it will be worth it!

Yes. All of the calories are not good. There is no nutritional value in cola. And the high fructose corn syrup they make it out of is REALLY bad for you.

Even though i drink alot of it myself, it does contain a lot of sugar and caffeine, not good if you diabetes in your family, so i wouldn't drink alot of it if you do, also the sugar is not good for your teeth, but it won't cause life threatening illnesses

Considering that Coke and Pepsi can be used to get oil out of clothes, and blood off of pavement, I'm assuming that it's not so great for your teeth or innards.

Honorable Rajneesh indicates that cola products are unhealthy for you gut and contain artificial stimulants, and therefore should be avoided.

I always knew it wasnt great for you, then I heard what it did to your teeth, gross. I wasnt really interested in losing weight, but I also read that if you change all the soda in your diet, to water you could lose up to 10 lbs. To me, that means it cant be very healthy, so I stopped.
