I had great fun!! Santa was nice to me, and to my family.
I'm having a rerun of Xmas tomorrow and Tuesday with my older children who couldn't make it on Xmas day so I'm making the fun last.
I hit the January sales today and bought 2 dresses I wanted before Xmas for 20% of what I would have paid.
In the run up to Christmas I stayed out until 4am two nights (mornings) running; haven't done that for over 20 years. I got chatted up by a man 12 years my junior who actually though he was older than me; a lovely man.

Buddy, I am sorry for the loss of your sister.
As far as my world. Christmas was completely wicked. The only gossip might involve two elderly guests who arrived two hours late, but at least the old dears eventually arrived and were considerate enough to call ahead. Everyone else enjoyed our meal, and everything was reheated for the latecomers.
The main thing we were all together and not a sour word between anyone!

We had fun with lots of good food and some creative gifts.
I was surprised at some of them.
I went to a family party later in the week and watched everybody get butt wasted.
One woman there, who's husband was up north with the kids got super wasted and slept with another party member in the basement.
They were too tired and drunk to drive I guess.
Hmm.

I did enjoy the Christmas eve midnight mass and we sang the carols like never before, but as for gossip, I haven't heard anything worth mentioning yet. Keep glued on this site as some folks are still out on holiday. I hope you enjoy your new year celebrations.

i was NOT looking forward to the 1,000 mile trip (driving thru mountains most of the way) but was most pleasantly surprised by how nice it was to visit the family.
no picking
no fights
no drunk uncle (he stayed home)
i've NEVER seen my parents so IN LOVE - in 49 years of marriage!!!
my parents had all of their children together (the ENTIRE family - husbands , wives, grandchildren , their brothers and sisters etc) for the whole weekend. everyone stayed at motels to give my parents a break. (we took up the whole hotel)
thanks for asking
