with my current gf, it hasn't happened yet, but I've only been with her now for about 17 days. But the other times I felt like I had to say it back even if I didn't really feel it. Eventually I might have but of the four women I told them i loved them, the only one I know I did was my 4th ex. After all the breakups i hated the other 3 but not the 4th ex. I still love her even though she is married and living far away.

Well, i said "I love you" first.
I didn't control myself, i just said it out of the blue, and its the first time i've ever said it to a partner as well.
He just froze, and i just thought "Crap, he doesn't love me back"
Then he just hugged me tight and i swear i could hear his heart beating extremely fast. Then he said with a smile "I love you too"
Best feeling i felt for a long time.
The feeling is totally undescribable.
He looked kinda embarrassed because i don't think he expected me to say it since it was only a month into the relationship. But i tell you what, it was totally worth it.

I couldn't believe I heard it.
I mean I've had women say 'I love you' before, but none meant as much to me as my current girlfriend.
It took me by surprise, & made my heart pound. It just me gave the best feeling ever, like this feels so right.
I wish I could find more words to describe it, but even now when she says it, it always makes me smile & makes me think how lucky I am.

my partner is not good at expressing his feelings, one night i was just dropping off to sleep and i heard him say....i think your beautiful and i love you...then he kissed my shoulder...it felt lovely because i had been with him for 2 years then and he had never said it to me...when i told him that i heard him he went all daft, slightly embarrassed, but he admitted that he does and always had, i tell him every day...he tells me now and then but i know he loves me....we would not have lasted 10 years if there was no love between us...he shows his love in different ways...but when he told me, i went to sleep feeling secure and loved...it was so sweet...

Absolutely fantastic - and everytime he says it now (6 years later) I take myself back to the time he first said it to get that feeling again

I'm sure it will be a tingling feeling or something to the effect of a mild heart attack.
