me and the guy i've been seeing has told me that he wants some time to himself, we get along great and do have a good friendship also. he has sadi that he loves me and cares for me and i have told him that i am in love with him. he has told me also that it would be easier to date me if i had my own place then he acts real loving and kind but there are othertimes when he is cold and distant. why is he acting this way to me? we have known each other for five years now.

Well he might be going through something and I would say to stay out but if your really consernd then ask him whats going on.

It sounds like he is seeking security or a mom rather than a girlfriend. I would tell him to get off. Tell him it ouwld be easier to date him it you were to just date and not worry about where you live.
Get another life he may not be for you. If after 5 years he hasn't mentioned marriage or committment it's likely he mever will.,.

Probably because guys need change at some point. And it isnt that hard to say i love youu.. it is really hard to mean it though. good luckk tho.
