Infinity is an awfully large number. Most spreadsheet programs will not hold such a large number and therefore you will not be able to add to it.
If you were to, for instance, write a formula like this:
=1/0
it normally generates a divide by zero message, even though 1 can be divided an infinite number of times by 0.

If you were to, for instance, write another formula multiplying very large numbers by each other:
=1.00E+301*1.00E+301
it will generate a numeric value error, even though one would logically assume that the product of two such large numbers exists. (Although, admittedly, that number would not be close to infinity.)

So you see, due to limitations of software, the concept of infinity cannot be represented as a numerical value in Excel, nor can a formula be written that adds anything to it.
