Yes the Lord is my hero. I believe in his good work and his Son Jesus Christ. I surely would not be anywhere without him and his guidance. Neither would my family. I am successful and healthy because of him and I give my praises to God. He has given me the strength to be strong emotionally intellectually and physically especially when someone criticizes me or try to degrade me and my Christian beliefs. he has given me the gift of perception to see beyone the exterior and realize why people are the way that they are. I never respond back with loathe. There has been nothing that I have asked God that he didn’t deliver within time. Some things that I have asked for and didn’t receive, I realized down the line that it wasn’t best for me. I wish that everyone could have the opportunity to experience the love and protection that God gives and not just throw him away when times get hard. He has truly blessed me. God bless

wow! its so cool to see this many positive response :)
frankly "hero" is putting it lightly. even the best word in the dictionary or any wordly language cant praise Him enough. a whole day of singing, clapping our hands, hearing His words, praising Him... you can do that forever. i never want to end that.

by the way, thank Him not only for the good things but for everything. when we do that we put Him in control of all things that happen in our life no matter what the situation is; we are allowing Him to lead us.
and when others do not have the good things you have, pray that they too have those good things. Jesus came and showed an example, the way to live in this world. He gave His all to the ones who did not have it. We should also be like that. being grateful and thankful to be blessed is very important and also giving/sharing what we have to others is also important. Plus He gives us things so that we can share not just be thankful and be happy. it is our duty. m saying this because you said "good things that I have that others don't." you should not have compared.

I thank God too. He is greatest and the best of all.
I dont know but the "Hero" thing does not fit on God. He is not human. He is a God, he is the one who create heros..
May God help us all!!

If hero means someone from your own species who achieved
some spectacular acts - who you wish to emulate - then God cannot be our hero.
But if you want to give Him the glory for creation including our human heroes, He is a Hero who we will never be able to match.

The old testament portrays god as a vindictive, self-centered, egotistical SOB, totally unworthy of admiration, let alone worship.
