The death of a child is usually more tragic and traumatic than the death of an older person because a child is the last person in the family expected to die. . . . The death of any child represents the loss of future dreams, relationships [son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren], experiences . . . that have not yet been enjoyed. And this sense of deep loss can also apply to any woman who has lost a baby through miscarriage.

The Bible writer Paul offered hope of relief from that “last enemy,” death. He wrote: “Death is to be brought to nothing.” “The last enemy to be abolished is death.” (1 Corinthians 15:26, The New English Bible) Why could Paul be so sure of that? Because he had been taught by one who had been raised from the dead, Jesus Christ. (Acts 9:3-19)

So, what happens to those who have died?
Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”

What hope is there then?
John 5:28, 29: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice [the voice of Jesus] and come out.”

Acts 24:15: “I have hope toward God . . . that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Both those who lived in harmony with God’s righteous ways and people who, out of ignorance, did unrighteous things and those who died too young to have made a conscious choice in their course of life, will be resurrected.

Where will this resurrection take place?
Very shortly God will remove all wickedness and establish a new world under heavenly rulership. (Psalm 37:10, 11; Daniel 2:44; Revelation 16:14, 16) The result will be a paradise over the whole EARTH, inhabited by people who serve God. In the Bible we read: “I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ‘Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’”—Revelation 21:3, 4.

Physical bodies do not ascend, only the soul. Souls are eternal and do not have age (3 days old? no). The soul chooses the method (presence of spirit) by which it is recognized by others and communicates telepathically with other souls in heaven.

When a baby dies, it becomes one with dust, so do all dead people. Nobody goes to heaven or hell, there is no such thing. You die, you die thats it (but christians will still quote the bible, which is not convincing like any other book)

People are ageless as time has no meaning. You recognize people for what they really are, not the shell of our earthly physical presence.
