I think happiness for ourselves and others should be the goal of life. Since we're all we've got, we should spread the joy, not hog it while saying "God gave happiness to us because we're apparently better people than the unhappy people are." That's just an excuse to be selfish.

Depends on what extent you want to endure suffering and how you define "happiness". If you're referring to "stuff" as bringing you happiness, you'll never find it... but if you're seeking "happiness" as in freedom from suffering, you'd better get busy... this precious human life is short.

To any extent that you are comfortable with. Perhaps Ted Haggard would have a difficult time answering this question...

We should not waste our time seeking happiness. Its a self centred thing. We should just geton with our lives, and if come across something that makes us happy,we should cherish it and move on.Too much happiness is just as bad as too much misery.Agood life is one that is peppered with a little bit of this, and a little bit of that.

"an harm none, do what ye will". You should always search for happiness if your happiness doesn`t cause harm to others..
