its so hard to straighten hair without a straightener. i suggest getting one. they're amazing, you'll love it. otherwise if you have a round brush and a hair dryer that will work it just takes a hell of a lot of time and your ends will still curl. pull your hair straight with the brush and blow dry it until its straight. i have the same hair problem as you. make sure you use lots of conditioner though. i use hair serum. hair dyers will dry your hair right out. good luck.
oh yeah, you can also buy straightening shampoos that help, you still need to blow dry though.

The chemical straightnener fo me is not a good idea!! My hair felt like straw for 6 months after and it had no body at all, it was straight and it would not take any curl. If you like that look go for it.
I have tried everything and the best way without a straighting iorn is.........
If you want straight hair with less work use about a half dollar sized amount of Biosilk in wet hair and work it through the ends of your hair first, then move up. Try not to get too much near your saclp or it can look oily. Now separate into at least 2 sections to dry like they do at a salon and use a large paddle brush. Just keep brushing as yo dry.
No frizzies and no curl!
Good Luck!

I have naturally curly hair as well. I have used a chemical straightener many times in the past and it does work until their is new hair growth BUT it does do some damage to your hair so if you do go this route, make sure you do hot oil treatments to restore your hair. This way there is less frizz factor. I have since went and got the wet to straight hair iron, this does straighten the hair but leaves your hair a tad frizzy. You can try frizz serums, sprays or other treatments for ant-frizz to help alleviate some of the frizz after straightening with an iron. When you straighten it with the iron, it does take out alot of the moisture and oils leaving it a tad dry and frizzy. Anti-frizz things do help a bit.

Try products that promote anti-frizz. That will help you also. As well as the straightening balms, and other straightening products on the market. If you have a Sally Beauty Supply store near you, check them out.. they have good prices for the higher end things that you might be looking for. Best of luck.

You can always try a straightening shampoo, like Herbal Essences. They don't work as well as a straightener would, but they do a pretty decent job. For the poof, there are products that can fix that, but the better ones will cost more money.

I use a blow dryer on medium , a BIG round brush and a handfull of straightning products - it works really well...I also use "straightning" shampoos and conditioner which close the hair cuticles and make the strand flatter (helps reduce pouf!). I like Bumble and Bumble Straight gel - but that's a little pricey. A few others to try that are great: L'Oreal Straight gel, Aussie "Calm" and "Binge", Physic "relaxing gel" - works good but feels a little stiff, and John Frieda products :)

Try Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Fortifying Shampoo and Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Fortifying Cream Conditioner then apply Granier Fructis Sleek and Shine Weightless Anti-Frizz Serum after.
Apply Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk Instant Smooth and Frizz Control to your hair then blowdry.
Go to http://www.garnier.com/dispatchfructis/
Then choose the country you live in and there's information on their products and even style videos and take the hair quiz. You can usually purchase the products at Wal-Mart.
The products work extremely well.

I have really thin straight hair, but my friend has hair like yours. She uses special shampoos and puts products in after to make it look less poofy. Talk to someone at a beauty care store and they will help you find the right product. Sometimes these are pricey, but they will last a while.
Good luck!

If all else fails, try L'oreal Straightener. I found it at Walmart with the Permanents. If works like a permanent, but instead of rolling your hair, you come it through. Just follow the instructions. It works great.

Go to the salon and get the opti-frizz thing done to your hair. It takes out 70 % of the frizz out and it takes less time to straighten your hair. Your hair won't frizz out in that humid weather. It worked wonders for me.
