Lets say we drove down to Gatlinburg and at the last minute decided to just get married. Lets say we only had a few days to do it. Can it be done? Can we go get the licenses and find a chapel at the last minute? Has anyone done this before? How does it work?

Contact one of the wedding planners or chapels at TN Top Wedding Sites: http://tn.topweddingsites.com
They will be able to get things set up for you. By the way, I was just there over the summer. Awesome place to be married and honeymoon. Just beautiful. Good luck!

Look them up on the Web. There are about 30 different chapels in Gatlinburg. They are geared for what you want.

call 1-800-wed-ring;
They will make all arrangements according to what you would like to have. ie:bouquet/music/video/wedding album/ music/organist/limo/champagne/ etc., etc. There are several different price ranges to choose from. And it's not a small dinky (closet sized) chapel. It is a really nice white church with a big steeple, at the end of the main street. My husband and I got married there and it was really nice. You will have to get your license in Sevierville at the courthouse. (we got ours the same day that we were married; there is no waiting period) Sevierville is located just before you get to Pigeon Forge, TN
Good luck to you!

I had a last minute wedding in NYC and it worked out fine. My husband and I had to go down to city hall together to apply for a marriage license - he went back the next day to pick it up. Then, we called up a nice restaurant and booked a banquet table for us and 12 of our close friends and family.
