I've asked it twice and both times the question was removed. It seem Yahoo Answers doesn't mind when you ask the hard questions about Christianity but freaks out when you ask about other unnamed religions.

My question was posed for a certain religious group if they felt that a certain country was in line with the teaching of their holy book. A simple question. Both times it was removed. The second time I asked it I spaced out the letters in the spelling and it was still whacked. The question didn't seem accusatory nor did it seem like it would offend anyone. A simple question asking for simple answers.

To put two and two together the country in question recently was santionced by the UN. I'm not talking about Christians but the predominate religion of the country in question. The question was posed to them. If you can figure it out feel free to answer it here.

i haven't seen your original question but I'm guessing it is about a religion with a very delicate subject matter. my best bet is that you asked about muslims and the quran.

the reason your question is not being displayed is bec of the reactions to similar events that tackle the same nature of questioning:

1- mohammed cartoons
2-Pope's comments about muslim violence

another reason is that your question was directed to them, which is somehow derogatory. cast the first stone. we Christians must also be asked the same question.
---------------------
now to answer your question:
1. yes they are in line with what they believe
2. but not all will interpret the quran the same way
3. some will take punishment by death in the name of Allah to be literal
4. some will take the position of mercy

hope this helps and that im talking about what you asked about and that yahoo publishes this.

I think that that unnamed demographic group have a reading of that unnamed book that not only permits their occupying that unnamed territory 'by any means necessary' but insists upon it...

I think that they are all mad... but, then again, given what happened just a half century ago (which is about one & a half times my age), they are probably understandably mad ('mad' meaning 'crazy'.....& 'angry')...

Why is that unnamed territory not on another continent... it would make much more sense... so who gains from the conflict?

'Old power' (i.e: establishment & military)..

Why do so many others go along w/ it?

Well, the USSR was a crappy place, so many arrived from there (they, the unnamed people, were persecuted there).. others went to the unnamed territory 'coz' they have heard so much so often about it...

Why is it run by 'old power'... well, why do any of us put up with 'crazy old relatives'?

Mostly, 'coz' we don't know how to extricate ourselves from the situation... this is comedy when it is a noisy aunt @ a restaurant insisting on their being ketchup @ the table.. or an uncle who farts...

It's tragedy when your army stirs up conflict so that it can prove that you still need an army...

Finally... this is by no means a complete answer, so I will permit myself this extra fragment that doesn't fit elsewhere...

That unnamed territory & its unnamed people are surrounded by a population that is growing extremely rapidly &, like all populations that grow that quickly, is poor relative to a population that is not growing so rapidly w.r.t. its capacity for providing for that population...

What are all conflicts about? Property...

Happy New Year...

It seems that a lot of questions have been removed lately ... I don't know why. To address your question, I think if we examined the holy books of any religion associated with almost any country we would find that the practices of the country would not be in line with the spiritual teachings.

You're in George W. Bushland and he's the decider... snort. Some people are offended no matter what you say and no matter how you word it. You could wish someone a nice day and if they've got a bee in their bonnet they're going to delete you.

My answer: separate the religion from the fundamentalist nutjobs because while they claim to do what they do in the name of their religion, they're really only using the religion like their own personal 'ho to their own gain. These groups are not going to go after their own, they don't want to be next on the madmen's hit list so realistically speaking, don't expect a whole lot to change.

If this was removed 2 times why ask again? It must be against the rules.

Y!A community standards nazis... what else can you say?

I asked what someone else would do if they found their wife farding all morning in their bathroom. The definition of farding is "applying makeup." But the gestapo deleted my question for violating community standards. I guess they've never read a dictionary.

There is no hope for Iran, or any other Muslim country until they adopt a strict separation of Mosk and state, and promote women to the rank of "human".

Well I am a Wiccan, and we each write our own books based on our own observances of life and Nature. As far as I know, there are no Wiccan nations.

there will always be extremists - no matter what religion
for the most part 'religion' is a 'do the best you can with what you have and do unto others' kind of thing. some people take it too far.
