It's a deity whose existence you cannot disprove...sort of like the Christian God.
All non-believers can do is say they don't believe in him because his existence has not been proven and because it seems ridiculous to believe in some magic god like that in the sky...which is more or less the same thing non-Christians say about the Judeo-Christian God.

I'm a Pagan Pastafarian Pirate, personally.
The FSM (pbuh) revealed his noodly goodness to our prophet Bobby Henderson, who was compelled to share it with the Kansas School Board.. they were in the process of voting "Creationism" into the science classes of all students, and Bobby wanted to be sure that our version of "science" would be added as well.
For more information, please go to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster's website.
May you be touched by his noodly appendage..

It's not only a parody, but it's also a perfect example of how a religion and it's doctrine can be completely made up and spread through society extremely easily. It also shows how silly current religious dogma is by putting it into perspective.

It's not just Atheists, it could be any Non-theistic religion that talks him up.
The FSM is a un-probvable, un-denouncable spook religion. It's point is, You cannot prove he doesn't exist, so why not believe it? No matter how strange or ridiculous a religion is, currently its not possible to prove its wrong.
